Terms of Use

These terms cover Fourth Seat Mahjong, its online Parlor at mahjong-parlor.fly.dev, and the Parlor Pass subscription. By playing online or buying a Parlor Pass you agree to them.

The game

The offline game is free. Online play — live tables, the Daily Deal on The Official Card, the weekly ladder, friends and chat — needs a free account and, after your first month online, a Parlor Pass. Fourth Seat Mahjong is not affiliated with the National Mah Jongg League. There is no gambling and no real-money prize of any kind.

The Parlor Pass

• Price. $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year (US dollars), or the local price shown at checkout. Taxes may apply where required.
• Automatic renewal. The Pass renews at the end of each period and is charged to the same payment method until you cancel.
• Cancelling. Bought in the iPhone or iPad app: cancel in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. Bought on the website: use the "Manage subscription" link in your receipt email. Either way you keep the Pass until the end of the period you paid for.
• No refunds. All Parlor Pass payments are final. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period, and partly used periods are not refunded. This does not limit any right to a refund that the law gives you where you live. Purchases made in the iPhone or iPad app are billed by Apple, and any refund request for those goes to Apple under Apple's own policies.
• Changes. If the price changes, we will say so before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.

Your account and conduct

One account per person, and keep your password to yourself. Be civil at the tables and in chat: no harassment, hate, sexual content, spam or links. We may remove messages, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules; a Pass on a closed account is not refunded. You can delete your account at any time from the app (Menu › Account).

The card and the tiles

The app includes thirty original example hands. The official NMJL card is copyrighted and is not included; to play its hands, bring your own current card.

No warranty

The game is provided as it is. We work to keep the Parlor running, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for the Parlor Pass in the twelve months before the claim.
